In January of 2017, PeacePlayers launched a partnership with Nike to bring PeacePlayers’ proven model of uniting communities through sport to the United States. This exciting new partnership piloted growth in 2017 first to Baltimore, Brooklyn and Detroit, and then in the summer of 2018, also added programs in Chicago and Los Angeles, with the intention of eventually launching additional programs in Memphis (TN) and Portland (OR) as well. Given the dramatic programmatic growth over the last two years, PeacePlayers has strategically decided to formalize a PeacePlayers – U.S. entity that will own the strategic direction of PeacePlayers’ sustainability and growth in the United States, alongside supporting the organization-wide global network.

The inaugural PeacePlayers’ U.S. Executive Director (U.S. ED) will have outstanding leadership, management and fundraising skills, and will be responsible for overseeing the organizational development of the PeacePlayers-U.S. entity along with driving the strategic direction of the organization. Having a track record of building a team to sustain growth accompanied by a demonstrated development and fundraising background, will be critical to the success of this role. The U.S. ED will partner with both the Co-Founder and Executive Director of PeacePlayers International, as well as with the COO of the organization, as the PeacePlayers U.S. office is formalized to help build an entity within the PeacePlayers international network that can thrive alongside other national partners.
