Duties include:

  • Develop and execute the Masters Tournament and MTF digital content strategy to acquire, engage, and retain audiences on both owned and operated platforms (e.g. masters.com), as well as 3rd party platforms, including social media, online streaming media services, etc.
  • Develop year-round content and publishing strategies for digital platforms, including each of the social media platforms, to maximize opportunities to reach and nurture target audiences. 
  • Identify and clearly articulate the digital personality and “voice” of each of the Masters Tournament and MTF brands, reflecting each of the respective brand’s unique identity, across all digital platforms.
  • Lead content teams on the creation, curation, and publishing of all content (imagery, video, written word) of the Masters Tournament and MTF events across all digital platforms, localized in relevant languages accordingly.
  • Actively use data and key metrics to analyze campaign effectiveness and refine the strategy and/or execution as necessary. 
  • Develop, nurture, and maintain very strong relationships with each of the major 3rd party publishing sites, ensuring that Augusta National maximizes the opportunities on each these platforms and stays on the forefront of new product/feature launches.
  • Remain on the forefront of social media publishing trends, emerging platforms, production and analytics tools, monetization techniques, and provide suggestions and proposals to the organization.
  • Work closely with each of our partners (sponsors, broadcast partners, etc.) to ensure that all partner content on each of their respective digital platform offerings uphold the Masters Tournament and MTF brand guidelines, as well as agreed upon contract terms.
  • Develop, maintain, and actively update digital content and social media publishing best practices and educate team members accordingly.
  • Take additional direction from the Director of Communications and the Director of Golf Development as necessary to ensure the content strategy is in concert with broader communication and business objectives of the Masters Tournament and MTF events.
     

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in developing budget recommendations to support programs/actions.
  • Attends seminars/conferences for continued professional growth and development.
  • Performs other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job.

 

Qualifications (required unless stated otherwise):
 

Skills/Knowledge/Attributes:

  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of digital content production and digital marketing.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, streaming services, and their respective users.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of formulating and executing content strategies on both traditional media outlets and emerging digital platforms.
  • Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media.
  • Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing and brand management.
  • Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas via imagery, video, and written word.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage team of creative individuals.
  • Innovative thinker with proven ability to implement new programs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience working with latest social media data analysis tools.
  • Proven experience in researching, analyzing, and implementing strategic social media and/or marketing plans.
  • Ability to align new ideas and strategies with broad business priorities.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Deep understanding of golf, Augusta National, and the Masters Tournament.
  • Innate curiosity and interest in the latest and greatest social media and marketing techniques.

Experience/Education:

  • Minimum of eight years related experience in social media publishing.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communication or Marketing.
