Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree required; Journalism or Communications preferred
  • 5 years of experience, with 2- 4 in managing/editing content for use on websites and social media platforms
  • Experience in editing and/or content management role with a digital publisher is preferred
  • Experience in working with content for global markets is preferred
  • Highly organized with strong writing skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of social media platforms including content creation, best practices, success metrics and emerging platforms
  • Proficiency in a foreign language (Mandarin, Japanese, Spanish, etc.) preferred
  • Background in golf preferred; strong interest in golf required

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Work collaboratively with other Content Team members; participate in regular creative brainstorming and pitch sessions
  • Participate in daily Content Team meetings to gain an understanding of content plans and key messaging
  • Identify existing or future PGA TOUR-produced content that could be utilized on country-specific websites and/or social media platforms
  • Assist with social media publishing, utilizing cross-post functionality and other tools as needed
  • Work closely with content creators based in other countries/regions, sharing story ideas, communication plans and key messages
  • Review content created in other countries/regions.  Ensure it meets TOUR brand standards and defined voice across platforms
  • Identify opportunities to leverage content created by international partners for use on PGA TOUR-managed platforms
  • Work collaboratively with the International Broadcast team and other internal stakeholders, sharing digital content plans and opportunities
  • Available during hours that are optimal for doing business with groups abroad, which may include evenings or early mornings
  • Ability to adapt to changing editorial conditions in a short time frame
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned
