Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems/management or equivalent work experience, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) preferred
  • Five years administration of Linux Servers (Redhat preferred), network/systems administration/technical support, Microsoft Windows 2012 / 2016 servers, VMWare, and storage area network (SAN); Prior experience with backup/restoration processes and operations; building consistent, automated system and software installation packages for servers and workstations, Apache Web Server, and DNS
  • Thorough understanding of the following:  server administration concepts, networking and application concepts, troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Experience with various virtualization technologies and multi-tenant, private and hybrid cloud environments
  • Experience in scripting (BASH, PowerShell, Perl) and building required automation (using standard technologies such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef)
  • Ability to lead and contribute to the development, maintenance, and usage of deployment and task automation (OS, database services, virtual networks, or other platform services)
  • Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (Current Branch), Administration of Office 365 (with Azure AD Connect), Exchange Online
  • Microsoft Identity Management (MIM), Intune, System Center Endpoint Protection, Bitlocker administration and Microsoft Azure experience preferred

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, test and troubleshoot application systems
  • Design, implement, test and troubleshoot Windows and Linux based server infrastructures
  • Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems
  • Performs system backups and recovery
  • Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity
  • Define instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the daily functions network and operations datacenter
  • Installs, maintains, and performs firmware upgrades of server and storage class hardware (NetApp, EMC, IBM, Lenovo preferred)
  • Manages Antivirus corporate infrastructure (Symantec Endpoint and Windows Defender preferred)
  • Perform maintenance of network and application security
  • Design, implement, test and troubleshoot tape backup, restore and archival infrastructure, processes and procedures
  • Design, implement, test and troubleshoot consistent system images to servers with the least amount of human intervention and the greatest amount of consistency
  • Design, implement, test and troubleshoot a platform image for client machines to allow the easiest/most consistent implementation with the least amount of human intervention
  • Lead projects using PMI Project Management Methodologies
  • Coordinate PCI Vulnerability scans and remediation of issues identified by these scans
  • Assist in budget process by determining necessary hardware and obtaining price estimates
  • Perform Third Level Help Desk support
  • Special projects as assigned
