Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Two to three years of sales and marketing experience, ideally in sports, event management, media or hospitality preferred, not required; Golf tournament sales experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related area preferred 
  • Thorough sales knowledge which includes prospecting tactics, research, presentation development, and event activation
  • Ability to represent the TOUR Championship at local networking events throughout the community
  • Confident, pro-active and enthusiastic personality that assimilates well within a team
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software packages to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Salesforce

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist sales team with local sponsors, hospitality clients, and PGA TOUR Official Marketing Partners – from pitch/proposal through execution
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales. This may include the research, review and maintenance of ongoing competitive market analysis including financial and demographic factors
  • Coordinate with sales team and other relevant departments on sponsorship and hospitality programs (Partnership Marketing, Legal, CM Operations, etc.)
  • Develop professional sales presentation which conveys the event’s unique selling proposition and is customized with benefits to meet target audience goals
  • Participate in weekly/regular calls with sales team, ED and TD
  • Assist with sales reporting and support would include; tournament revenue pacing, tournament product lockdown process, tournament sales collateral, tournament client data reports, sales representative pacing, sales representative revenue/pipeline/activity plans, and CRM
  • Complete special projects as requested, which may include: presentation or document development in support of various Championship Management business objectives: data analysis: research projects
  • Attend local networking events in the greater Atlanta area
