We presently have an opportunity for an Account Manager – Media Business Development in our Media Business Development department.  This position is responsible for maximizing monetization of all TOUR media assets, by working with all necessary TOUR departments.  The Account Manager will set digital strategies for corporate partners, considering their specific requirements.

 

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, data visualization, accounting or related field
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in a digital media or traditional media organization
  • Strong written, verbal communication and analytic skills
  • Expertise in PowerPoint, Excel and Photo Shop a plus
  • Ability to build strong relationships and recognize opportunities to drive revenue; manage all aspects of sales process to drive revenue
  • Golf Industry background and knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of the sales pipeline and recognize opportunities to drive revenue
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with corporate partners and maintain frequent contact
  • Work directly with content, ad product, revenue operations, corporate partnerships and business development teams to deliver on PGA TOUR corporate partner contractual commitments through PGA TOUR media assets
  • Coordinate directly with PGA TOUR corporate partnerships team and respective PGA TOUR corporate partners and their ad agencies including the creative ideation necessary to combine PGA TOUR media assets into a media program that delivers against partner objectives
  • Coordinate and work directly with Golf Digest teams at Discovery to create and develop viable digital, print and social opportunities for corporate partners within Golf Digest ecosystem
  • Work with appropriate teams at PGA TOUR and Golf Digest to deliver synergistic, viable assets and programs for corporate partners
  • Coordinate on the alignment, approvals and fulfillment of media program elements with appropriate PGA TOUR teams
  • Be opportunistic and recognize opportunities to upsell corporate partners above their contractual media commitments
  • Participate in key business meetings with TOUR departments and clients
  • Address corporate partner queries in a timely manner
  • Meet or exceed yearly revenue targets
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned
