Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of five to seven years related experience, preferably with public relations, fundraising, community and/or charity outreach; Knowledge of grant and financial management is preferred
  • Must have strong communication, writing/editing, and public speaking/presentation skills
  • Must have experience managing programs or events and strong inter-personal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects is required
  • Non-profit experience is preferred

 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the review, scoring and site visits of THE PLAYERS grant applications and related requests
  • Manage and fulfill charitable events’ schedule
  • Support implementation of the annual Community Outreach plan
  • Work collaboratively with nonprofit organizations on events, announcements and public relations efforts
  • Lead coordination, marketing and tracking of THE PLAYERS charitable support programs – Chip in for Youth; Birdies for Charity, and umbrella charities
  • Serve as liaison to Red Coats grants committee and lead coordination of their annual grants’ review process
  • Accept, evaluate, and fulfill charitable requests for event sponsorships, auction items, and players
  • Support community outreach activities and charities hosted on-site during the week of THE PLAYERS
  • Contribute to the development of the Community Outreach newsletter, web site postings, and marketing and promotional materials
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned
