JOB TITLE:     International Tournament Administration Manager and Player Liaison

LOCATION:    Ponte Vedra Beach, FL


DUTIES:  Responsible for managing the operations and scoring during all tournaments for PGA TOUR Latinoamerica; Serve as a liaison between all players for PGA Latinoamerica supporting on Administrative, Competition, Travel and Logistics; Provide on-going support to the Latino players as they advance to the and PGA TOUR; Serve as member of the Competition/Rules Team; Provide competitions and event information to international players on the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions, Tour and PGA TOUR Latinoamerica; Provide communication support to the PGA TOUR Competitions staff and players regarding entries and withdrawals, insurance coverage and other membership questions; Develop, distribute and disseminate Regulations & Requirements packet for the top-five PGA TOUR Latinoamerica players as they prepare to advance to the US based Tour; Conduct orientation seminars to educate players of expectations and requirements for events; Manage player commitments for each PGA TOUR Latinoamerica event, ensuring that each competitor is accurately assigned into the PGA TOUR Commitments system; Manage overall eligibility lists for PGA TOUR Latinoamerica access ensuring accurate data and communication regarding eligibility; Manage commitments and withdrawals leading up to and during the week of the event and assist with the distribution of this information to pertinent clients; Communicate with and seek advice from various staff at PGA TOUR headquarters on any player-related issues such as credentials, player prize money, benefits and eligibility; Ensure issues are brought to conclusion in a professional and timely manner; Assist Rules Committee with course set-up as otherwise directed by the PGA TOUR Latinoamerica Tournament Director.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports or Tourism Management, or a related field followed by 8 years of progressive experience in professional golf event management in Latin America and the United States. Experience therein to include 8 years in preparing golf courses for competition including marking, course conditioning, spectator viewing, inclement weather suspensions and course evacuations. Requires extensive knowledge of the Rules of Golf, and frequent travel in the US and abroad.
